Sautéed Mushrooms
Ingredients
(For 1 cup of cooked mushrooms)
8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced (or canned, rinsed & drained)
4 Tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves
4 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp herbes de Provence or fresh thyme
1 branch green onion for decoration
Instructions
1 - Rinse the mushrooms and pat dry with a paper towel. Mince the garlic.
2 - Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
3 - Pour half of the olive oil. Add the mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally.
4 - Drain excess water and bring mushrooms back to heat. Add remaining olive oil and cook until golden-brown.
5 - Add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
6 - Pour the vinegar, and briefly cook until the vinegar has evaporated.
7 - Add herbs, salt and pepper.
8 - Decorate with green onions.
Enjoy with salads, steak, hamburgers or bruschettas.
